Do you operate the platform with the ground wheel chains on?
The ground wheel chains are designed for transportation of the platform only. Be sure to remove ground wheel chains from the wheel arm and u-bolt to the platform during operation.
What oil do I put in the platform and how often should I change it?
Change the oil in the gearbox on new platforms every 100 hours then annually using a Synthetic grade 75-85 oil. Midwest runs Castrol Syntrans 75W /85.
In the oil reservoir use AW68 grade hydraulic oil, be sure to keep oil level in sight glass and do not overfill.
Do you only make platforms for John Deere Headers?
Midwest makes platforms to suit Agco, Claas, New Hollad, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Caterpillar, and Case IH. We also manufacture a range of Forage and Swather Platforms.
