Not only do they manufacture the widest harvest platform in the world at a massive 60 foot but they are leading the way in innovation winning multiple awards including Best New Innovation Award, Best Australian Agricultural Machine, Judges Choice for Best Manufacturing Business and 2016 Business of the Year.
Blake McGrane of McGrane Harvesting based out of Melbourne took delivery of his 60ft Midwest Durus Premium prior to summer harvest last
Starting his season at Goondiwindi he stripped almost 6000 hectares from NSW through to Victoria.
Blake said he is very impressed with the machines performance.
“On the best day for the season I harvested 800 tonne with my New Holland 9.9 and 60 foot Midwest feeding three road trains. Who wouldn’t be happy with that?” he said.
In 2016 Midwest Fabrication experienced a 50 per cent increase in platforms sold onto New Holland and Case IH customers, they believe this growth has come about from the feeding and height sensor issues that the imported platforms are having with Australia’s fast ground speeds and light crop conditions. They also saw an 80 per cent growth in the sales of 60ft drapers.
